New Beginnings - A Home for Mothers, located in Aurora, CO, provides a place for single mothers to start a new life. Whether the resident decides to become a responsible parent or place her baby in a loving adoptive home, she will be given the support and counseling she needs during that process. Our History In late 1990, a need for a Home for young mothers became apparent. In early 1991, we began searching for location for a Home with the top choices being Atlanta or Denver. By October 1992, New Beginnings was incorporated in Denver, Colorado. By January 1993, the first Divine Call was extended for houseparents. By September 1993, the house parents arrived and began setting up the office and in October of that same year the first resident arrived! In March 1994, New Beginnings celebrated with an Open House. In June 1994, we had our first baptism. After operating out of an apartment complex for many years we were finally able to purchase our own building in 1999. In December 2000, our existing houseparents retired and we called a new couple. By June 2001, 85 young mothers have spent varying amounts of time at New Beginnings and we have a staff of two full time houseparents, relief staff and a part time counselor.
